Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 200–400 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

Research your state laws, and identify at least 4 medically related reportable events (e.g., infectious disease conditions, crime related events, and so on). 

Focus your discussion on the following:

  • What agency will receive the information? 
  • What information is to be released to the agency? 
  • Are there any requirements specified in the law for the protection of the patient’s health information? 

Be sure to support your information by citing your references using APA format.
