In this SAS Curriculum Pathways Web Inquiry you will be provided links to primary sources that you will examine to help you answer the focus question: Why did the British and Chinese fight a war over opium?

 

Follow this link to Web Inquiry 192. If prompted, enter “melody9off” in the Student User Name then click “log in” to begin. (quick launch #192).

 

Copy and save the Respond sheet to your computer or recreate the table in your own word processing program. Complete the table and use that information to write your letter for Part 2. Remember that in the letter you are assuming the role of a British minister–your word choice and style should be very formal. Combine the Parts 1 and 2 into one document to submit.
